About The Team

Working in the Conservative Group office within the Council's Democratic Services Department, you will provide professional and organisational support to the Conservative Party Group (the main opposition group on Hounslow Council) including providing detailed research and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. working closely with the Group to provide policy support, researching, evaluating and analysing issues which are of interest, relevance and importance to the Group Leader and Members of the Group
2. acting as first point of contact and ensuring effective communications between Group Members, and between the Group, the Party, the Council, and other stakeholders
3. assisting the group with organisation and administration (including regular attendance at Group Meetings)
4. preparing press releases and dealing with the media enquiries on behalf of the Group Leader and the Group
Your Skills
Ideally, you will be a member of the Conservative Party and have:
1. research/administrative experience
2. good political judgement
3. experience of dealing with public bodies or political organisations
4. a good knowledge of working within political structures and public affairs
