About The Team
We are looking for a new Business Administration Apprentice to join our Direct Payments Team.
The Direct Payments Team is based within Children's and Adults services which implement personal budgets and personal health budgets via a direct payment for residents, children's and carers.
The Direct Payments Team change the lives of people across the Borough, improving outcomes for vulnerable adults, children and carers by enabling them to take more control over their lives and live more independently in their own homes.
Safeguarding is at the very heart of our innovative practice and professional accountability. We deliver high quality services and our interventions skilled support will enable our vulnerable residents, their carers and families to maximise their choices, control and independence.
The Business Administration apprenticeship covers a wide range of competencies such as organising events, delivering presentations and using bespoke software, helping you develop the skills that employers look for when hiring. By the end of the apprenticeship, you will have achieved a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship and gained invaluable experience and skills that will prepare you to succeed in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Data input, photocopying and typing - ensuring attention to detail at all times.
To deal with internal and external post and emails, take calls (duty) as required.
To support the team, deal with financial monitoring of monies to maintain accurate, timely and legible records.
To respond to routine correspondence and enquiries from members of the public, suppliers, and other staff.
Your Skills:
1. Communication skills
2. Financial skills
3. Competent user of computer software packages, in particular Microsoft Office packages
4. Ability to multitask and good record keeping
Essential for the Role:
An Enhanced DBS check for this role.
4 GCSE's or equivalent (4-9 in Maths and English)
Applicants must be a Hounslow resident or former Hounslow secondary school student.
